Parrotia persica Persian ironwood

Deciduous, spreading, short trunked tree, flaking, grey and fawn bark. Rich green leaves turn yellow, orange and red in autumn. Small, red flwrs are borne on bare wood in early spring. Sun/part shade, and moist soil. Ht 8m.
