Stately, upright perennial with terminal heads of tubular, pinkish-purple flowers borne in late summer and early autumn. Coarse oval leaves are arranged in whorls along purplish stems. Ht. 2. 2m. Sprd. 1m. Requires partial shade and well drained soil.
